Futureproofing Employee Careers in the Age of Generative AI
Short description
AI can create new career possibilities while also making existing skills and roles feel less secure. This project studies how employees judge those opportunities and threats, and how career adaptability, organisational support and supervisory support shape their responses. It will examine which conditions support effective reskilling and internal mobility.
The research will connect skill use and support with satisfaction, engagement, retention intentions and mobility outcomes. It aims to identify patterns of career risk and resilience and develop a measurement toolkit that helps organisations understand where employees feel confident or anxious about AI. Findings will guide choices about development resources and communication.
