Anne-Sophie Mayer
Professor of Digital Work

Anne-Sophie Mayer is Professor of Digital Work at LMU Munich School of Management, where she has led the professorship since April 2025. Her research examines how digital technologies transform work, with particular interests in generative AI in knowledge work, algorithmic management and digital platform work. She previously held postdoctoral and assistant professor positions at the KIN Center for Digital Innovation at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Mayer earned her doctorate at the University of Passau in 2021 and has undertaken research stays at Stanford University, the University of Sydney and the University of Auckland. Within EMANAIRE, she contributes expertise in qualitative research on changing work practices, professional competencies and social dynamics, and supervises doctoral researchers.
