Dominique Kost

Dominique Kost is Associate Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Leadership at BI Norwegian Business School. She received her PhD in Organizational Behaviour and Leadership from BI in 2016. Before starting her doctoral studies, she worked as a consultant in the education and human resource sectors in Amsterdam and Munich.

Dominique’s research focuses on how individuals and teams adapt to changing forms of work, particularly flexible and technology-mediated work. Her research interests include work flexibility, work–family dynamics, virtual teams, digital labour, and leadership and coordination in changing work environments. Her recent research examines flexibility arrangements, psychological job control and supplemental work, boundary management, platform and gig work, and team processes in virtual and technology-mediated settings.

She teaches Master of Science courses on teams and decision support systems and is an Associate Editor at the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology.

Dominique’s research has been published in leading international journals, including Human Resource Management Journal, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and Journal of Applied Psychology. She regularly presents her research at international academic conferences, including the Academy of Management Annual Meeting and the Work and Family Researchers Network (WFRN).
