Emma Nordbäck (D.Sc. (Tech)) is Associate Professor of Management and Organisation at Hanken School of Economics, Finland. Her research focuses on the digital transformation of knowledge work, including remote and hybrid work as well as artificial intelligence. Using primarily qualitative methods, she studies how technologies and workspaces shape workplace relationships and the everyday work experiences of individuals and teams. She has a multidisciplinary background that bridges management and organization studies, information systems, and organizational communication. Her work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Academy of Management Learning & Education, and the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology.
