Managing Team Communication in AI-Augmented Teams
Short description
When teams delegate drafting, analysis and coordination to AI, the way colleagues communicate can change. This project studies AI overreliance, disclosure of AI use and patterns of AI-supported communication, alongside the beliefs and assumptions people bring to digital teamwork. It asks which managerial and personal resources help employees adapt while retaining critical judgement.
The research will combine empirical studies with the development and validation of measures of team dynamics and communication. It will examine conditions under which AI-supported collaboration improves communication quality, team effectiveness and reflection, and when over-delegation weakens scrutiny or learning. Findings will inform practical tools, workshops and guidance for managers.
