Anna Essén’s research concerns how digital technology shapes what individuals and organizations find worthwhile to strive for and feel capable of achieving. She has published papers about the co-evolution of digital infrastructures, practices, and institutions in journals such as MIS Quarterly, Human Relations, Organization Studies, and Nature. Current research projects concern the innovation of 3rd generation (AI) infrastructures for health, autonomous transportation and new space.
